Bicycle Douglas County…
We are a local bicycle advocacy group working to:
§ Improve and expand trails and roadways for safe bicycling throughout Douglas County.
§ Build awareness and a positive relationship with local and county officials.
§ Organize Douglas County bicyclists and create an e-mail communications network to share important information about planning efforts, improvements, and how you can have a positive impact on bicycling in our beautiful county.
Our Top Goals…
Short-Term
§ Improve maintenance / sweeping of road shoulders.
- Call 303-660-7480 to report maintenance issues to Douglas County
§ Maintain existing shoulders to a minimum width of 4 feet.
§ Increase Bicycle Douglas County membership to 500.
Long-Term
§ Construction of shoulders on rural roads in Douglas County.
§ Improve public awareness of bicyclists.
§ Work with officials to include bicycling in the Douglas County Master Plan.

accessories and service (labor charges).
BDC members will also receive a T-shirt when they volunteer at one of the
aid stations projects or trail cleaning. Your participation and memberships
are appreciated and needed.

Rules of the Road
· Ride on the right, never ride against traffic
· Ride single file
· Obey traffic laws, signs and signals
· Use a headlight, taillight and reflectors at night
· Make eye contact with drivers
· Always wear a helmet
